Hi there!
My name is Sabra Morin and I developed and produced this educational activity book
as my Girl Scout Gold Award project, the highest award a Girl Scout can earn.
This booklet is a stand alone program to teach awareness of the marbled murrelet, an endangered seabird species of the Pacific Northwest which nests in old growth conifers like the ancient coastal redwoods.
In this booklet there is an emphasis on the marbled murrelet, their corvid predators in the campgrounds, and how the proper handling of human food, scraps, and trash could help save the marbled murrelet eggs and chicks.
Although directed toward children, these are activities that everyone can enjoy while learning more about this endangered species.
Thank you to all the people and sponsors who helped make this booklet possible,
I hope you enjoy it.
